BEIJING, June 17 -- China has called for greater representation of developing nations at the United Nations, arguing that emerging economies and countries from the Global South remain underrepresented in global decision-making structures.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remarks during a rare press briefing in Beijing, where he presented a white paper outlining China's vision for reforming global governance and making international institutions more equitable.
