Pakistan, April 22 -- China has rejected US President Donald Trump's claim that a seized Iranian cargo ship was carrying a "gift from China." The statement comes amid rising tensions following the interception of the vessel by US forces in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian-flagged ship TOUSKA was seized on Sunday after reportedly refusing to comply with a US-imposed blockade. American Central Command confirmed that the vessel remains in US custody following the operation.
