China announced on Friday that it will host the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, aiming to strengthen regional stability and cooperation among its members.
More than 20 world leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, are expected to attend the summit, making it the largest gathering of the security bloc since its founding.
Leaders from member and guest countries such as Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkey, and Vietnam will participate, alongside heads of international organisations, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, further emphasizing global engagement.
