Pakistan, July 27 -- The floodwater level in River Chenab continues to decline steadily in Chiniot district, the flood wave has now passed through the area and is moving towards Trimmu Head in Jhang district.
According to the latest official data, discharge at Chiniot Bridge decreased from 155,228 cusecs recorded late Saturday night to 104,139 cusecs at 12:00 noon on Sunday, indicating a continuous fall in the river's water level.
The recent flooding inundated hundreds of acres of standing crops in Bhawana, Lalian, Sambhal, Kot Amir Shah and other riverine areas. Several houses and other properties were also affected.
