Pakistan, Aug. 27 -- The Capital Development Authority has approved a comprehensive waste management plan for rural Islamabad. The initiative comes under the vision of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf. It will initially focus on Zones IV and V and improve waste collection and disposal.
The plan will bring 65 rural union councils into an organised waste management network. Areas including Bani Gala, Ghuri Town and surrounding localities will receive structured collection services. The CDA says the system will address long-standing gaps in rural sanitation and waste disposal.
