Pakistan, July 8 -- A private cargo aircraft traveling from Sharjah to Karachi has gone missing after losing contact with air traffic control over the Arabian Sea. According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the missing cargo plane disappeared from radar while approaching Karachi, prompting an immediate search and rescue operation.

The aircraft, operated by K2 Airways, was a Boeing 737-400 (registration AP-BOI) operating flight KTA1732 from Sharjah to Karachi. PAA officials said that at 9:18 p.m., approximately 150 nautical miles south of Karachi on airway G216, the crew reported a navigation system malfunction and requested heading guidance. Air traffic controllers instructed the aircraft to maintain its current course.
