MANSEHRA, Sept. 2 -- Authorities recovered the body of Irish mountaineer Alexander from Siran Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday. He had gone missing while descending Musa Da Musalla peak during bad weather. The peak rises about 13,500 feet above sea level. Forest officials and local residents spotted his body in a gorge near Paracha Khatta. The area has dense forests and difficult terrain. Police said Alexander likely slipped while descending through heavy fog and rain. However, officials said the exact cause of death remains unclear. They transported the body to Mandachucha, where authorities had established a base camp.
