Pakistan, Jan. 19 -- A powerful explosion struck the Shahr-e Naw area of Kabul on Monday, killing and injuring multiple people. Initial reports confirm casualties, but the exact numbers are not yet clear. The blast caused panic in one of Kabul's usually secure districts and damaged nearby buildings and vehicles.
The Taliban Interior Ministry spokesperson, Abdul Mateen Qani, confirmed that lives were lost and said investigations are ongoing. He added that security forces and emergency responders are examining the site to determine the cause and prevent further incidents.
