KARACHI - It looked like Barbie Land as women in pink clothes and helmets rode off on 200 new electric scooters gifted under the Pink Scooty Scheme launched by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday.

The scheme, part of Sindh's women empowerment initiatives, provided free scooters along with on-the-spot registration and license plates.

Several women, including teachers, students, and trainees, shared how the scooters would change their lives-giving them independence, saving fuel, and improving mobility.

Bilawal praised the Transport Department and said pink taxis would also be introduced soon. "No nation can prosper without women's participation," he said.
