The flooding has affected homes, roads and transport across parts of Thailand's capital. Authorities are monitoring the situation as more rain is expected.

According to foreign media reports, intense rainfall caused water to accumulate across several residential areas. Flooding also severely disrupted traffic in different parts of Bangkok. Several people were moved to safer locations because of rising floodwaters.
