Pakistan, Sept. 5 -- Rail services from Balochistan to other parts of Pakistan have been suspended for two days. Railway authorities said repair work on the railway track prompted the disruption. The move has affected passengers travelling to and from Quetta.
The Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar will not operate on September 5 and 6. Railway authorities cancelled both services to allow maintenance work on the track. Passengers using the route will therefore face a temporary travel disruption.
The inbound Jaffar Express will also operate on a shortened route Saturday. Instead of reaching Quetta, the train will terminate at Jacobabad. Railway authorities said the change will support ongoing track maintenance activities.
