Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025. The closure is due to the national Independence Day holiday. The announcement was made in an official statement released on Monday.
According to the SBP, the holiday has been declared by the Government of Pakistan. All operations, including banking services and transactions, will remain suspended for the day. Normal banking activities will resume on Friday, August 15.
The public is advised to plan their financial matters accordingly. Businesses and account holders are expected to adjust any transactions ahead of the holiday. This is part of routine national observance across government offices.
