Pakistan, June 9 -- Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met Lebanese Army Commander General Rodolphe Haikal at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, where the two sides discussed regional security, defence cooperation and ways to strengthen military ties between their countries.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Haikal received a guard of honour upon his arrival at GHQ, where he was welcomed by senior military officials before holding formal talks with Field Marshal Asim Munir.
