Pakistan, Sept. 13 -- Another rabies case has been reported in Sindh, taking the provincial total to 23. A 27-year-old woman from Tando Allahyar tested positive for the virus at Jinnah Hospital in Karachi. She had reportedly suffered a stray dog bite six months ago.

The woman was bitten on her right ankle by the stray dog, according to hospital officials. She received three doses of the anti-rabies vaccine following the incident. Despite receiving the vaccine, she later developed symptoms associated with rabies.
