Pakistan, Oct. 10 -- Archaeologists have discovered a large ancient structure at Jandial near Khanpur and Taxila in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The structure measures approximately 100 metres long and 50 metres wide. Experts believe the discovery could deepen understanding of the Gandhara civilisation, its history and urban architecture.

According to a press release issued on Friday, researchers have named the site Jandial D. It stands outside the ancient walled city of Sirkap, directly opposite the famous Jandial Temple, known for its Greek-style architecture.
