Pakistan, Oct. 7 -- LAHORE - Air travel between Lahore and Karachi has become significantly more expensive as several airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), AirBlue, and Fly Jinnah, have sharply increased ticket prices. The fare hike comes in the wake of Serene Air's flight cancellations and Air Sial's suspension of operations, leading to reduced flight availability and rising demand.
PIA has raised the cost of an urgent one-way ticket on the Lahore-Karachi route to Rs60,760. However, despite the steep price increase, no seats are available on PIA flights from October 8 to October 18, 2025. This shortage has left many passengers struggling to secure bookings, especially for last-minute travel.
