Referring to recent incidents, he stated that innocent people were martyred in Bannu and stressed the need to defeat terrorist elements through collective efforts. The remarks came amid renewed concerns over Terrorism in Pakistan.

In a statement, Khawaja Asif alleged that Afghanistan, in collaboration with India, is supporting activities that promote terrorism on Pakistani soil.
