Pakistan, May 9 -- Mohammad Abbas produced a brilliant five-wicket haul to help restrict Bangladesh to 413 in the first Test in Dhaka. His disciplined bowling effort gave Pakistan a strong response after the hosts built a solid total on the opening day. Pakistan ended the second day at 179 for one in their first innings.

Bangladesh resumed their innings at 301 for four but lost momentum as Abbas struck early in the morning session. The veteran seamer removed key batters and finished with figures of five for 92 from 34 overs. His performance marked his sixth five-wicket haul in Test cricket.
