Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck the sea near Pakistan's coastal region on Monday morning. The Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded the earthquake near Keti Bandar. Officials said the earthquake occurred at 8:31am. The tremor originated offshore and had a depth of 40 kilometres.

According to the Meteorological Department, the earthquake's epicentre was located in the sea. It was around 156 kilometres southwest of Keti Bandar. The department provided the details after recording the seismic activity. Authorities continue to monitor the situation following the earthquake.
