Pakistan, July 16 -- Three passengers were killed and seven others injured after gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus in Kalat, Balochistan, government officials confirmed. The bus was en route from Karachi to Quetta when the attack took place on Wednesday.

The injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Kalat, where an emergency was declared to manage the influx of casualties. Security forces quickly arrived at the scene, launched a search operation, and have surrounded the area to track down the attackers.
