ISLAMABAD/SWABI, Jan. 27 -- Two people were killed and 10 others injured, including three women, in a multi-vehicle collision on the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) on Tuesday, according to Swabi Rescue 1122 officials.

A trailer was initially involved in an accident, blocking the motorway and triggering a pile-up as several vehicles collided while travelling from Islamabad to Peshawar. One person died at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries at a hospital, officials said.
Rescue teams and motorway police quickly arrived at the site, carrying out emergency operations and clearing the wreckage. Traffic on the vital artery was temporarily disrupted but later restored.
