Pakistan, Aug. 12 -- Eighteen terrorists were killed in Balochistan's Surab district after a vehicle bomb detonated prematurely, ISPR said Wednesday.

According to ISPR, eight terrorists died when the explosives-laden vehicle detonated during preparation. Several others reportedly suffered injuries.

Security forces and Balochistan Police launched a joint clearance operation after reaching the blast site. They moved to trace fleeing terrorists and facilitators.

During the operation, security forces detected and engaged fleeing terrorists. Ten additional terrorists were killed during the ensuing exchange of fire.
