Pakistan, July 21 -- Heavy monsoon rain lashed Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday, triggering urban flooding and prompting authorities to issue high alerts. Over 145mm of rain was recorded in Saidpur Village within just a few hours. Streets were flooded, a vehicle was swept away, and houses were damaged as seasonal streams overflowed.
According to WASA Rawalpindi, flash floods hit several areas as rainwater rose above bridge levels. A wall collapsed in Saidpur, damaging nearby homes and leaving residents stranded. Authorities have since recovered the submerged car and deployed emergency teams across affected areas.
