Pakistan, July 11 -- In a significant step towards rebuilding livelihoods in flood-affected areas, 10 animal shelters have been constructed in Taluka Jhuddo, district Mirpurkhas.
The project, implemented by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) with support from Malteser International, aims to empower local communities and protect them against climate risks, said a release issued here on Thursday.
The shelters were built to provide a safe haven for livestock, a crucial source of livelihood for many community members. The 2022 and 2024 floods had devastated the area, destroying original animal shelters and causing significant losses to animal owners.
