Law & Order: SVU bid farewell to one of the series' most dedicated characters. The Sept. 25 season 27 premiere episode opened with Captain Olivia Benson walking into a pub, where the NYPD is holding a memorial service for former Special Victims Unit Captain Donald Cragen.

As Benson makes her way around the bar, she meets with fellow mourners and familiar faces including Dr George Huang and Detective Cassidy.

And after she reunites with current members of her squad, Sergeant Finn, ADA Domonic Carisi and Amanda Rollins, they gathered around to watch the late captain-who ushered the start of all their careers-say one final goodbye.
