Pakistan, Aug. 15 -- Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned an Israeli strike that killed seven people in southern Lebanon. He said the victims were not military targets, raising concerns over renewed regional escalation.
The strike hit the village of Ansar on Saturday, according to Salam. The Lebanese prime minister said those killed included two women and three children.

Israel said its forces targeted Hezbollah infrastructure during the strike. However, Salam rejected the Israeli characterization and disputed the presence of military targets among the victims.
