OMAN, Oct. 4 -- A GROUP of five university students from Zanzibar will take part in the NASA Space Apps Hackathon 2025 scheduled in Bidiyah on Sunday.

They will join more than 171 participants from around the world, including 34 teams from Oman, in the 48-hour challenge.

Recognised as one of the biggest global events in space science and astronomy, the hackathon is designed to foster creativity, innovation and teamwork.

The Zanzibar team was selected from over a thousand applicants and will work alongside peers in Oman to develop solutions for real-world problems using NASAs open data..
