ZANZIBAR, July 11 -- THE Zanzibar Ministry of Communication, Information Technology and Innovation has stepped up efforts to protect children from online abuse by launching a nationwide campaign to promote safer use of digital platforms.

Announcing the initiative, Minister Mudrik Ramadhan Soraga said children are increasingly exposed to harmful online content as internet access grows at home and in schools, making stronger protection measures necessary.

“The use of the internet has grown rapidly, and our children are exposed to all kinds of information online. We must act now before this becomes a national crisis,” he said.
