ZANZIBAR, Aug. 29 -- AS Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential candidate for Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, prepares to collect his nomination papers tomorrow morning, August 30, 2025, various groups of supporters have come forward with financial contributions to support his candidacy.

The cost of collecting the nomination papers is 100,000/-, while candidates are required to submit 2m/- upon returning the forms.

Among those who have contributed are youth groups, drivers, mechanics, and boda boda operators from South Pemba, who handed over their donations through the Second Vice President (2VP) of Zanzibar, Hemed Suleiman Abdulla, at his Vuga office.
