DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 30 -- YAS Tanzania and ZTE are spearheading efforts to increase smartphone penetration and digital adoption, to revolutionise access to information and services nationwide.

This initiative not only promotes technological inclusion but also stimulates economic growth by enabling digital entrepreneurship, improving productivity and fostering innovation critical to Tanzanias competitive edge in the global digital economy.

According to the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA), internet penetration rose by 9.6 per cent to 54.1 million in the quarter ending June from 49.3 million.
