DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 18 -- TANZANIA Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) has successfully maintained its status at WHO Maturity Level 3 of the Medicines and Vaccines Regulatory System following a comprehensive assessment conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2023.

A statement issued today by the Director General of TMDA, Dr Adam Fimbo, said TMDA is proud of this milestone as it demonstrates its regulatory expertise with transparency, professionalism and adherence to internationally accepted standards in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of health products.
