MOROGORO, June 15 -- AFTER a stellar performance in the Mkwawa Rally of Iringa, Morogoro-based young driver, Walid Nahdi says he is now fully winged to fly higher and faster towards the 2026 National Rally Championship (NRC) title.

Staged in Iringa last week, Mkwawa Rally was the 2026 season opener that heightened young Nahdis status as among the NRC title favourites.

Navigated by Ally Hamoud, Walid Nahdi powered his Subaru Impreza N11 to the second position after clocking 55 minutes and 29 seconds, the events second best time.

“ It was my career best performance to finish ahead of Harinder Deere, one of the top rally drivers in East Africa.,” he said.
