Dar es Salaam, Aug. 25 -- Vodacom Tanzania held its annual general meeting (AGM) for the financial year ended March 31, 2025 in Dar es Salaam today whereby financial and operational results presented in the event showcased robust growth.

Other areas were strategic investments, and continued commitment to its purpose of empowering individuals, protecting the environment, and upholding trust.

During the year, Vodacoms service revenue surged by 20.5 percent to 1.5tri/-, driven by strong customer growth and increased uptake of its services, in particular M-Pesa and data services.

Net profit after tax rose by 69.4 percent to 90.5bn/-, supported by cost efficiency initiatives that yielded 59bn/- cost savings.
