UNGUJA, Sept. 19 -- RESIDENTS of Unguja-Ukuu-Kaepwani village have raised concerns over a local bar allegedly linked to the sexual exploitation of minors under 18.

Speaking to journalists, residents Ms Asmini Mukrimu Amiri and Ms Salama Juma Ali claimed the bar has contributed to cases of children engaging in sexual activities, exposing them to health risks.

They also alleged that the situation has led to increased petty theft in the community, with some youths stealing crops to raise money to pay for sex at the bar, thereby undermining local farmers efforts.
