DAR ES SALAAM, March 3 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has said that major improvements undertaken in the transport sector have brought positive transformation in the performance of the countrys ports, enabling them to receive and service large vessels operating in major international ports.

Addressing hundreds of Dar es Salaam residents gathered during the laying of the foundation stone for the Oil Receiving and 15 Storage Tanks Construction Project at the Port of Dar es Salaam, Kigamboni, Dr Samia said the investment will increase efficiency in cargo loading and unloading services, positioning Tanzania as a key trade and transport hub in the East and Central African region.
