DAR ES SALAAM, March 10 -- The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General (SRSG) to the African Union and Head of the United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU), Parfait Onanga-Anyanga, has commended Tanzania for the steps it has taken to restore peace and stability following the disturbances that occurred during and after the General Elections on 29 October 2025.

Mr Parfait made the remarks today in Dar es Salaam during a courtesy call with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo.
