Uhuru Torch Relay launches a 2.6bn/- Magamba tourism project in Tanga
LUSHOTO, June 27 -- THE uhuru Torch Relay leader, Wazo Mwangonda, has laid the foundation stone for the construction of Magamba Eco Forest Lodge Ltd, a TZS 2.5 b/- eco-tourism project being implemented in Magamba Nature Reserve in Lushoto district, Tanga Region.
The project, funded by Harmeet Grewal, was launched when the Torch Relay visited the district to inspect and launch various development projects.
Speaking at the event, the Acting Chief Conservator of Magamba Nature Reserve, Joyce Kabuchi, said the project has already invested over TZS 1.5 b/- in the initial stages of construction.
