DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 22 -- TANZANIA U-20 Womens National Team launched their 2026 FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup qualification campaign with a commanding 4–0 victory over Angola at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam yesterday.
From the opening whistle, the home side pressed high and pinned Angola deep in their own half.
The breakthrough came in the 21st minute when Diana Williams surging run through the middle drew a foul from Merly Guimarães inside the box.
Winfrida Gerald converted the resulting penalty with a composed strike into the top corner. Six minutes later, Tanzania doubled the lead.
Hasnath Ubamba intercepted a loose pass in midfield and released Jamila Rajabu, who threaded a quick ball to Winfrida.
