DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 10 -- TANZANIA has reiterated Africas strong commitment to advancing clean cooking and energy connectivity as top priorities for the continent at the upcoming COP30 climate talks, set to take place next month in Belém, Brazil.
The country is serving as the current chair of the African Group of Negotiators (AGN) on Climate Change, a coalition representing 54 African countries that coordinates the continents collective position in global climate negotiations.
“We are ready to discuss how we can embed the recognition of Africas special needs in global climate change matters,” said the AGN Chair and Special Envoy and Advisor to the President on Environment and Climate Change, Dr Richard Muyungi.
