DODOMA, June 12 -- TANZANIA has registered a record 915 investment projects worth 10.95 billion US dollars (about 29tri/-) in 2025, surpassing 901 projects valued at 9.3 billion US dollars (24tri/-) recorded in 2024.

Minister of State in the Presidents Office (Planning and Investment), Prof Kitila Mkumbo (pictured), revealed the figures yesterday while presenting the 2025 State of the National Economy and the National Development Plan for 2026/27 in the National Assembly. He said the projects were registered by the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) between January and December 2025, marking the highest level of investment attraction since independence.
