MOROCCO, July 27 -- TANZANIA Womens national team head coach, Bakari Shime, says a victory over South Africa in todays opening match of the 2026 Womens Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) would provide the confidence and momentum needed for Twiga Stars to enjoy a successful tournament.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Shime acknowledged the quality and strength of the South African side but expressed confidence that his squad is well prepared to secure a positive result.
