AUSHA, Aug. 27 -- TRA United FC has launched ‘Shamra Shamra Week, featuring various community and public awareness activities ahead of its first home match against Dodoma Jiji on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The match will also be used to introduce the clubs players for the 2026/2027 season.

Speaking here ,Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Arusha Regional Manager, Deogratius Shuma, said the club uses football as a platform to promote voluntary tax compliance and educate the public on the importance of paying taxes and demanding receipts.

He said TRA established the team because football is widely followed, making it easier for the authority to deliver tax compliance messages to the public.
