DAR ES SALAAM, April 2 -- STRONG cooperation between the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and taxpayers has enabled the agency to set a new record after collecting 9.31tri/- in the third quarter of the 2025/26 financial year, achieving 106.4 per cent of its 8.75tri/- target.

In a statement issued by TRA Commissioner General Yusuph Mwenda in Dar es Salaam, the authority collected 3.5tr/- in March alone, surpassing its monthly target of 3.32tri/- by 107.6 per cent.

According to the Commissioner, the performance represents a 23.6 per cent increase compared to 7.53tri/- collected in the same period of the 2024/25 financial year.
