DAR ES SALAAM, June 2 -- THE Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has reminded taxpayers to submit their tax returns on time as the 2025/2026 financial year approaches its end.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam today, June 2, 2026, TRA Taxpayer Education Manager, CPA Paul Walalaze, urged taxpayers registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) to ensure they submit their VAT returns by the legal deadline noting June 20 is the deadline for submitting VAT returns for the month of May.

CPA Walalaze also reminded employers to submit employment-related tax returns by June 7, which is the statutory deadline under the tax laws.
