TPA bolsters security at Dar and Lake Victoria ports with 6.445m US dollars boats
DAR ES SALAAM, July 3 -- The Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) has strengthened security operations at the Port of Dar es Salaam and Lake Victoria ports following the acquisition of two modern patrol boats worth 6.445 million US dollars.
The vessels, MV LINDO I and MV LINDO II, are part of a wider investment aimed at enhancing the safety of ships, cargo and port users, while improving response to security threats and emergencies within port waters.
Speaking on behalf of the Director General, Director of Marine Services and Port Operations, Captain Abdulla Mwingamno, said the investment demonstrates TPAs commitment to ensuring Tanzanias ports remain secure, efficient and aligned with international standards.
