DODOMA, Feb. 13 -- THE Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Ashatu Kijaji, has tasked the new advisory board of the Tanzania Forest Services Agency (TFS) to craft strong strategies to grow the industrial economy through forest and beekeeping resources while resolving land conflicts in protected areas.
Speaking when launching the board today, February 13, 2026,- in Dodoma, the minister urged tighter protection of forest reserves to curb encroachment and environmental damage.
Moreover, she praised TFS for resolving 423 of 438 land disputes (96%) and called for completion of the remaining cases with professionalism to build public trust in natural resource conservation.
