DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 10 -- THE Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, Angellah Kairuki, has said the expansion of communication infrastructure continues to broaden access to telecommunications services for citizens across Tanzania.

Minister Kairuki made the remarks today, August 10, 2026, while presenting the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) Fourth Quarter Performance Report for the 2025/26 financial year.

She said the implementation of a project involving 758 communication towers, launched by President Samia Suluhu Hassan on April 10, 2026, has enabled telecommunications services to reach approximately eight million people across the country.
