DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 30 -- TANZANIA Bureau of Standards (TBS) has called on engineers to ensure the consistent application of local standards in both feasibility studies and construction projects, stressing their critical role in upholding structural integrity, public safety and regulatory compliance.

This was highlighted by TBS Standards Manager, Eng Yona Afrika in Dar es Salaam during the 22nd Commemoration of Tanzania Engineers Day.

He said the Bureaus participation aimed mainly to raise awareness on the importance of using certified products that meet safety and quality standards verified by TBS laboratories.
