DAR ES SALAAM, July 8 -- TUBERCULOSIS (TB) remains one of the worlds deadliest infectious diseases despite decades of medical advances. Every year, millions of people fall ill and hundreds of thousands lose their lives to a disease that is both preventable and curable. For countries like Tanzania, where TB continues to pose a major public health challenge, defeating the disease requires more than routine treatment programmes. It demands continuous scientific innovation, stronger research capacity and meaningful international collaboration.
