MBEYA, Oct. 14 -- THE Tanzanian Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango, has urged Tanzanians to continue praying for the late Father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, so that he may rest in peace and be counted among the saints.

The call was made during a special prayer service held today, October 14, 2025, at the Catholic Church of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Mwanjelwa, Mbeya region, where the Vice President joined leaders, congregants, and various members of the public to pray for the late Father of the Nation.
